There were a simple thing to create a shared disk in VirtualBox for your VM. The shared disk could be shared for sparate VMs. It's possible to create a cluster environment in VirtualBox. I have already tried to create a shared disk using Virtual SAN software or defined storage software using freenas and openfiler. But I have failed due to these virtual SAN software can't be shared to other server of the same volume. But, Virtualbox has a simple way to share an internal disk to other VMs with bellow technique :

1. Open Virtualbox
2. Select menu file -> Virtual Media Manager
3. There was a harddisk tab, then select the harddisk that you'll shared to other VM
4. Note, before share a disk, you mush create disk with "Fixed Size". Because you'll failed if you define a new hdd with dynamic size
5. After select your disk, then click modify button toolbar
6. At the choose mode of the new window opened, choose "Shareable" option
7. Click OK.
8. Open your VM setting, then go to harddisk tab
9. Click add harddisk, then choose existing harddisk
10. From dialog box, choose the shareable disk as previouse shared
11. Confirm with power on VM and check the internal disk

You have successfully shared your disk, the shared disk is able to be open at other VM.
